🚽 Quick Toilet Unblock Steps
1. Stop the overflow (if it's rising!)
Take the lid off the tank.
Push the flapper (rubber seal at the bottom) down to stop water flow.
Lift the float to stop the tank from refilling.
You can also shut off the water valve behind the toilet.
2. Try the classic plunger trick
Use a flange plunger (the one with the extra rubber bit at the end).
Make sure there’s enough water in the bowl to cover the plunger.
Position it to seal the hole completely, and do firm, steady plunges — about 15–20 times.
3. No plunger? Try hot water + dish soap
Pour dish soap into the bowl — let it sit for 5–10 min.
Add a bucket of hot (not boiling) water from waist height.
Let it sit 20–30 mins and then try flushing.
4. Still blocked? Use a toilet auger (plumbing snake)
Feed the auger down into the bowl.
Crank the handle to break up or hook the blockage.
Pull it out, flush, and repeat if needed.
5. Last resort: Call THE DRAINAGE SQUAD
If nothing’s working and it’s backing up badly — especially into other drains — there might be a deeper blockage in the pipes.
